Saudi Arabia Enforces the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)

New regulations strengthen compliance and corporate accountability under NDMO oversight

Saudi Arabia Enforces the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)

The Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) officially entered its enforcement phase in 2025 under the supervision of the National Data Management Office (NDMO).

The regulation introduces new standards for the collection, processing, and transfer of personal and corporate data, ensuring alignment with international best practices in privacy and cybersecurity.

Waqour Law Firm advises all companies operating in Saudi Arabia to review their internal governance, consent mechanisms, and data-transfer frameworks to maintain compliance.

The PDPL strengthens investor confidence and reinforces Saudi Arabia’s leadership in secure digital transformation under Vision 2030.
